Goa is one of those rare states that hosts amusing climate throughout the year accrediting to its location in the coastal Konkan region. Goa summerSummer season in Goa starts by mid-March and continues till the June end. Unlike other parts of India, scorching heat wave situations are not faced by the Goans, the state temperature during summers ascend up to 40 degrees. The normal daily sunlight is from 9 to 10 hours in summers. The gentle wind that wafts from the seashore incessantly has a calming effect.Goa monsoonGoa monsoons set in by June and persist till the month of September. The state is located in the course of southwest monsoon. During monsoons, the state witness the downpour of 250cm to 300cm. Prior to the arrival of monsoons, Goa weather becomes very sultry due to the overcast. After much wait the amusing weather starts at the conclusion of monsoon season.Goa winterGoa Winters starts from the month of November and continues till February. During winter season, the highest temperature lingers around 11 degrees, while the lowest temperature declines to 3 degrees at nighttime. The normal daily sunlight during this season is only 6 hours. The amount of travelers to the state increases drastically as this season sets in.It can be stated that Goa completely relies on the south western monsoons that transports rainwater during the four months of the year. The remaining months stay arid and do not undergo any rainfall. Amusing weather situations are chief cause for appearance of Goa as a sightseeing hub. Although, the sightseeing season starts from October, one can embark on a trip to Goa at any time of the year. |
